About the Author
Janice Elizabeth Berte is a writer and author. She has been writing for many years, and featured in many top magazines and newspapers such as: The Boston Globe, Real Simple, Journal of Antiques and Collectibles, Track and Field News, Experience Life, Betterafter50.com, Framingham Life, and several other publications. She also has had the privilege to interview such notables as: Olympian superstar Carl Lewis, legendary R&B singers Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr., Celebrity chef – Jacque Pepin, Wampanoag Chief “Silent Drum” Vernon Lopez, 4 times Boston Marathon winner – Bill Rodgers, Tennis great – Dorcus Miller, and Bert Syms – drummer from the popular R&B group Tavares.
In addition to her many pieces, Janice wrote a book about childhood obesity and bullying, called Why am I so fat, Mommy?
She is also the recipient of the National Honor Society Award from Framingham State University for her paper on the Salem Witchcraft Trials.
